Conservatives don't view EVERYTHING through a lens of hate and spend every waking moment looking for something to be offended by or how "unfair" it is that someone else has more.
Yeah, I can't believe I forgot to post that in my first post on this thread. Liberals will actively go out seeing things that they deem as "unjust" or "offensive", so that they can start some countercultural movement or protest against it.
Liberals are also so PC that instead of judging one particular thing, they'll paint a broad brush so as not to offend one particular group (and they say conservatives paint with a broad brush!). An example of this is how libs will say that Islam in particular is not a bad religion, but ALL religions are evil. This is simply untrue, for a number of reasons. Firstly, in the current times, no other religion is causing as much violence or trouble as Islam (not even devil-worshipping!). And while Christianity did in the past (and no religion is perfect), the Dharmic religions and Judaism, because of their lack of strict beliefs in Hell or proselytizing, haven't caused as much trouble in ancient times either. Secondly, while religion has contributed a lot to conflicts, there are many, MANY good religious people, and there are also times when atheism was to the detriment of society in terms of communist dictatorships.
Seriously, do you people think this forum is representative of America? It's not. There are hardly any moderates on this board. Most people are extremely left or right and are certainly more vocal about there views here than they would be in real life.

Alright, an opportunity to bash Islam! Haven't had a thread to do that on yet!
This is the type of thing I'm talking about. This board is not a good representation of the average liberal or conservative. If you assumed this board was representative of America, no rational person would believe a conservative and a liberal could possibly get along. That's not the case at all. Most liberals that I've met don't act at all different than most conservative. They have slightly different views. That's literally it.
And conservatives don't complain? BS. My dad and my best friend's dad would regularly get together to complain about the federal government, especially when wine as involved. Everyone complains about something. Liberals complain about a different thing than you complain about and it bothers you. And I find it hilarious that you think that anything other than that is possible. And you're not the only one who does this. I'd estimate that 90% of this board does this.
As I've said, the most rational explanation for this is income related. People who have less are far more likely to vote liberal, as well as be less happy. People who have more are often conservative because conservative generally like to leave things as they are and if you're well off, what needs changing? It has very little to do with world view and values.
Many studies show that conservatives are happier than liberals, as the articles below indicate. This appears to be true regardless of country. Why do you think that is?
Conservatives have a sense of humor. Liberals are perpetually whining about something, outraged, livid.
Yeah, you never see a conservative whining about big government, Islam, decline of Christian values, socialism, Obama, entitlements, abortion, healthcare, and gay marriage or anything .
Don't get me wrong, I know conservatives complain a lot too--gay marriage, abortion, taxes, etc, and a lot of it is silly. But usually the conservatives I experienced would only complain about something when it's brought up in a discussion, otherwise they're talking about other things. The liberals I know would actively bring up something negative or something they didn't like at any chance they got! I think when you are always thinking about negativity, you're doomed to feel worse.

But they DO allege to favor less government interference and less government spending while passing whatever laws they believe interfere with peoples' lives in a 'good'(their) way while spending like drunken sailors on their own agenda.
