Are you more loyal to your State, than the entire nation as a whole?

I'm loyal to the ideals of the US Constitution and Bill of Rights. So to the extent the country and my state adhere to that, I'm loyal.

Unites States. I have lived in four States already, and probably will move again. There are many great States in this nation.

done.

States and nations are matters of geography, not people.
I am not loyal to geography, I am loyal to people.
States and nations are embodied by government and politicians.
I am not loyal to governments and politicians, I am loyal to people.

I served the United States in its military for 10 years. I pay my taxes. I follow the laws mostly, minus speed limits. So I have done/am doing that which is required to peacefully coexist within these geographic and political boundaries, but loyalty to local/state/national collectivism? Meh, I have no loyalty to socialist constructs meant to enslave me.

I'm more or less asking if your loyalty is top down, or bottom up.
