Who states at a job interview what their sexual orientation is? This is just lame. It is not about acceptance, it is about not being fired or denied a job because one is gay, same as if you were fired for being straight which is a sexual orientation too.

I'm sure you're like Dwight and think people aren't supposed to socialize at work. If companies forced that, morale would be terrible, leading to loss of production. Just sayin ...

Dude, you do not know me. I work for myself, run my own business so that I do not have to work for people like you.

Who really cares? The LGBT population in Kansas has to be statistically tiny. They need to leave Kansas anyway to be with their kind in San Fran and NYC. I can't imagine any LGBT person being happy in Kansas.

If an employer doesn't want to have somebody work in their business because they are gay or transgender, that should be their right. For example, they may lose business if the employee helping the customers is transgender- that makes a lot of people uncomfortable.

First Idaho, now Kansas. As liberals would say, they are like "dominos."

Hey, if you think that gays should hide their sexual orientation so that your delicate sensiblities never have to know they exist, then you should have to keep your religion to yourself, as well as your own sexual orientation. No one needs to know that you are straight, or what your beliefs are. As you said, Work is work and people go to work to work, not socialize. I have worked in the work sector and I did not socialize, I had a very good work ethic and an exemplary work record.
