So what? They had their own bibles and I don't think they threw them out for Jefferson's. Plus how does one remove everything supernatural, like faith, from a bible? Not going to happen. I am sure the word God appears in the bible many times.

This is the common way that many leftists like to shield behind their hatred.

What they really mean is "Jews are not the problem. Jews that are proud of their ethnic identity and believe they have the right to self determination are the problem."

It's funny how they think people can't see through it.

Curious minds wonder, does this apply to the 60+ percent of Jewish-Americans who identify as Democrats, or the 27 of 28 Jewish members of Congress who are Democrats?

I suspect that Jews support Democrats because Democrats cater to minorities in general.

The trouble is, minorities in general don't necessarily care about Jews.

Not really.

He defends religious freedom.

His shows aren't religious sermons.

Seems the more liberal a university, the more hatred towards Jews.

The historical illiteracy is making my brain hurt:

i.) The Nazis were fascists, a political movement whose base of support was the Catholic far-right. How do I know? Because it was endemic to Catholic countries/regions (Italy, Spain, Austria, Bavaria), all of its prominent leaders were current/former Catholics (Mussolini, Franco, Hitler), and the places most amenable to German occupation/the Final Solution were heavily Catholic (Central/Eastern Europe, Bohemia, Austria, Poland, etc.). Likewise, the fact that trade unionists, socialists, and Communists were violently suppressed belies any notion of fascism as an outgrowth of the political left.

ii.) That National Socialism (a misnomer) was not explicitly Christian hardly absolves Christendom of culpability for the Holocaust. At the time, Europe's population was overwhelmingly Christian, and the persecution of Jews had been an active component of its religious expression for more than 1000 years. So when the Final Solution emerged following centuries of pogroms, the inspiration wasn't hard to decipher.

iii.) It's no accident that the political party overwhelmingly favored by American Jews is the less emphatically Christian of the two. Jews have good reason to distrust faith-based incursions into the political arena, and many of the Supreme Court decisions most derided by conservative Christians were brought by Jewish plaintiffs intent on bolstering the separation of church and state. Likewise, Jews have been historically left-wing in the economic realm, which is apparent from their contributions to Communism (Marx and Trotsky were both of Jewish descent), as well as the political philosophy of Israel's founders.

The conceptual confusion is equally jarring:

iv.) Vague insinuations of growing American antisemitism aren't necessarily related to the state of Israel. Conversely, criticism of Israel shouldn't be conflated with antisemitism. I would find it insulting were it assumed that my ethnic identity inextricably links me to the conduct of the Irish Republican Army. I'm an American, so don't presume I have any attachment to a place thousands of miles away.

v.) Israel is neither an enemy of the United States, nor our dearest friend. Our closest allies are Canada, Great Britain, Australia, and New Zealand, countries we're pledged to defend and with whom we share our most sensitive secrets. Within the intelligence community, Israel is regarded as the greatest espionage threat outside of China. Moreover, I don't recall much Israeli military assistance rendered in either of the World Wars (), Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War, Afghanistan, or Iraq. So Israel doesn't merit special consideration -- it's worthy of support when our interests align, but deserves no deference when they don't.

Ah another of our resident righties you doesn't realize that one can disagree with the politics of Israel and yet be perfectly fine with Jewish people, in Israel or elsewhere. I am sure you wouldn't like it being called a racist because you disagreed with Nigeria's foreign policy.

As a Christian myself, Sekulow offends me. He claims to speak for "Christians" but after listening to him a few times I decided he's just another tool for the Israel lobby.
That Israel lobby trends substantially fundamental Christians.
