The guy Obama appointed to fix the VA mess turns out to be quite the liar.

Quote:
“Nine hundred people have been fired since I became secretary. We’ve got 60 people that we fired who have manipulated wait times.”
In 10 days, McDonald has been caught in two major lies. First, he lied about firing 900 employees, 60 of which he said were directly responsible for the VA wait times that led to the deaths of some vets. Turns out only 8 of those 60 have been fired. And those 840 others he claimed? Mostly probationary employees who had worked for less than a year, so they most likely had nothing to do with the scandal, according to WaPo.

Quote:
The public expects accuracy as the agency works to restore credibility. It is especially important for McDonald to be precise about his terminology — and to provide truthful information to the public. He earns Four Pinocchios for wildly inflating his “firing” statistics.
No, the VA has not fired 60 people for manipulating wait-time data - The Washington Post

Four Pinocchios for that claim, but surely he can be trusted to recount his own military service correctly when speaking with other vets, right? Oops, not so much.

Quote:
Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert McDonald has admitted that he lied about serving in the special operations forces in a conversation with a homeless veteran that was caught on camera earlier this year.
McDonald made the claim in January while he was in Los Angeles as part of the VA's effort to locate and house homeless veterans. During the tour, a homeless man told McDonald that he had served in the special operations forces.

"Special forces? What years?" McDonald responded. "I was in special forces." The exchange was broadcast on "The CBS Evening News" Jan. 30. McDonald's misstatement was first reported by The Huffington Post.
But no worries, according to the article, the Obama admin has said it's cool with him lying because he said he didn't mean to. This whole administration is a bunch of lying liars who lie.

That, and/or incompetence, are mandatory qualifications to work in the current administration.

It certainly seems so.

Obama sure knows how to pick them.

His administration is a litany of incompetent political hacks, lobbyists, banksters from the TBTF banks that should have been put in jail, and industry insiders who use their political office for high paying corporate jobs by failing to regulate.

Barack Obama has a 1.000 batting average for promoting liars and other worthless scumbags to leadership positions in his Administration. One can only surmise that candidate questionnaire Question #1 is:

"Are you a good liar and will you lie in order to protect Barack Obama?"

Study: 'U.S. Army officers lie' routinely - CNN.com

U.S. Army officers often resort to "evasion and deception," and everyone at the Pentagon knows it, according to a new study conducted by the U.S. Army War College.

"In other words, in the routine performance of their duties as leaders and commanders, U.S. Army officers lie," reads the study, which was conducted by the War College's Strategic Studies Institute.

Quote:
"The vast majority of our senior leaders are men and women who have earned the special trust and confidence afforded them by the American people. However, when senior leaders forfeit this trust through unprofessional, unethical or morally questionable behavior, their actions have an enormously negative effect on the profession," Hagel wrote.

Hagel urged the military leaders to "strengthen your cultures" and "assess gaps and close them."
The problem is, leadership, and a "corporate culture" are set at the top and are emulated throughout the organization. With Obama as C-in-C...is it any wonder that lying and a lack of integrity is impacting the military?

To be fair, lying in the military has been going on in administrations of both parties.

He lied about his military service and about firing people to clean up the VA mess. He was hired to bring trust back to the VA. Quit trying to make excuses for him. He should be fired.

VA Secretary Robert McDonald admits lying about Special Forces service | Fox News
Obama chooses people of low moral character and vestigal ethics to ensure their plyability moving his political and legislative agenda forward. susan Rice is of course the poster girl. Can pass the red faced test no problem. Geithner was a tax cheat. Eric Holder in charge of the DOJ even tops susan Rice when it comes to misleading and lying with conviction. All these liars somehow pass media scrutiny. How about that!
