I am married to a woman who is half-Chinese/half-Thai. You married a wrong Chinese, doesn't mean every Chinese is bad marriage material. My grandpa (a German) told me "in order to do business with the Chinese, you need to understand their culture. Their culture is different." I found it to be true. Doesn't mean it is a bad culture, it is just different.
Having said all that, when in Rome, do as the Romans do. To me, it is still a golden rule. some people just don't get it anymore. After world war 2 Americans were first to get jobs which was only fair ,today they don't play by those rules the native American is losing ground.

The positive thing about Chinese immigrants is when ever they move into a area they bring a peaceful vibration, The sad part is the over crowded condition that seems to be attached and the old memories of Italian and Irish and Blacks in the neighborhood has vanished.
