Just saying... if intentions were what it was all about... India/Pakistan... U.S.S.R./U.S....China/Japan... in all of these scenarios the presence of nuclear material on both sides of "intentions" does not mean a nuclear exchange. You might have a point if Israel didn't already possess enough nuclear firepower to slag 10 Irans. But they do. So... what am I missing?

I did consider the source...the Chief of the IDF Intelligence Directorate? Trying to think of a better source for analyzing/estimating/publicly speaking about the threat Hezbollah presents to Israel, and yeah, it's tough to top the Chief of the IDF Intelligence Directorate.

Whether Major General Aviv Kochavi is overestimating or not, a US Senator referencing that estimation is not a liar. That's the main source for the 100k+ estimate that gets referenced.

That's the estimate used by Israel's own military, they published that estimate, they stand behind it. No harm in a US Senator referencing it, and certainly no lie in doing so.

We don't know for sure it is going to defense !! who said that ? the Israelis ,they lied in the past, who believe them.

Countries have no friends, countries have interests, so Israel is not really an ally, it is more like a burden, spending our money and causing more problems around the world.

If you think it is a drop in the bucket, then why Israel don't get it from somewhere else ?

I had a mathematics PhD co-worker of mine do the math on per-taxpayer outlay on a $3 Billion dollar annual stipend for Israel and he said it came out to about $1.50 you paid out of your pocket last year to Israel.

I would gladly pay five times that.

You are obviously anti-Israel, perhaps as much as our current POTUS is. Claiming they are not an ally is absurd, especially given the region of the world they are in. They are in fact our LONE ally in that area. (Egypt is supposed to be one, but that has always been sketchy.)

Or do you equate the war on terror with being a "burden" as well?

Good causes can be construed as burdens I guess.

You payed far more taxes for bums on food stamps and entitlement checks last year then you did to Israel. And who do you think is in a better position to help our nation?

Equating financial assistance to Israel with food stamps really only serves to betray a lack of knowledge on Global politics--especially in Middle Eastern affairs.

From the Washington Institute article: A War Like No Other: Israel vs. Hezbollah in 2015

From a statement by the Chief of the IDF Intelligence Directorate, Major General Aviv Kochavi, quoted in this article on Feb 2, 2014: Head of IDF Intelligence: 170,000 Rockets Pointing at Israel

and from USA Today, on Jan 28 of this year:

and if you just want a good starting point, read this: Middle East - 2015 Index of U.S. Military Strength

Uhm, the Chief of IDF Intelligence estimates the 100k or greater number, as do US analysts, but a US Senator referencing those estimates is lying? Does partisanship make you blind?
It goes from :

"could have" 100 000, to "having" 170 000 rockets to having 150 000 rockets.

True or not, that is not the reason for Bibis visit.

Or is it?

Israel sold arms to Iraq and Iran during Iraq-Iran war !!
Believing that proves you have firmly rammed your head into the sand screaming LALALALALALALA.

Iran is the most destabilizing nation in the ME. They fund and arm all terrorists in the region including Hamas, Hezbollah who have gone brain dead tweaking Israel by slinging rockets haphazardly into Israel.

So who certified him as a liar? Who confirmed him as a crook? Brain dead Arabs?

You?

Your bleatings are pathetic.

You really need to get a major clue.
