She can only become "President Elect" in 2016. Everyone (except Joe Biden if Obama steps down) has to wait until 2017 to become "President".

I remember the same thing being said about George W. Bush in the waning years of his second term.

I can't believe that:

a. I am engaging in what could be the stupidest and most paranoid thread ever, and
b. that people still really don't know how the elections work.

THERE ARE NO NATIONAL ELECTIONS!

Each state conducts its own elections for President and Vice President. The winner of that statewide election determines for whom each Elector to the Electoral College votes.

The Electors meet later in December in their respective state capitals to vote for a president and send their vote to Washington.

The president has no powers to stop the elections.

I've heard it as far back as Nixon.

Well, there's the end of this loony thread right there then, because there is no "slightest bit of believability." This is what happens when people who have absolutely no understanding of how the United States Constitution and our system of government work get their information from insane people on the radio.

Who would oppose Obama 3rd term?

True Americans see that he does not have any love or patriotism to America at all. If he stays, there will be a civil war. We will not and should not allow him to shred one more piece of the Constitution.
Where do you live? This is asinine.

Yep, and left-wingers had the same fears about Reagan not leaving after 2 terms.

What a staggeringly original topic.

Should President Obama be elected for a third term ?

A third term for President Barack Obama? It could happen

Limbaugh: Will Obama Try To Rig A Third Term

Jan 4, 2013 - bill for Obama's third term - you all laughed but i told you so

Could Obama have a Third Term in Office

If the law could be changed, would you vote for Obama a third term?

Maybe it's time to revive my poll.

Do you think Obama will leave office on 1/20/2017?
