NOPE,

The foundation of libertarianism is mutual respect. It is a principle that extends to our relationships with people throughout the world. But this does not mean government to government aid.

Free trade is the foundation of world peace, not aid. BIG different.

They are liberal on drugs, same sex marriage, military and abortion and pretty much everything else. They call themselves republican, because their parents are republicans.

We don't call ourselves democrat or republican. You guys just feel the need to pigeon hole us. While you may think our stances are liberal, I can guarantee that our reasons for those stances are polar opposite.

exactly. Political party is not Grace Belgravia, some elite private club.

Bill Gates has no ego, let best ideas win.

"we"? This is about young republicans, and if you are not one, then it's not about you.

A liberal stance in social issues is to keep government out of it, and if your stance is the polar opposite, then I am not sure where you stand.

And some people who call themselves "liberal" are way more conservative than they realize. But they follow what their parents say and remain Democrats because their parents are.

I agree. In two decades the crazy train should be dead or retired, and hopefully those who replace them will be sane.

The teajadists will be dead in a decade or two ... thank god. That can only be a good thing.

The said the same thing about Reagan. There was a book from 1985 by liberal columnist Richard Reeves entitled The Reagan Detour. This conservative silliness would soon be over, and we would be back on the expressway to liberal utopia. That was 30 years ago.

Copies of the book are available on Amazon starting at one cent, btw.

Having liberal/libertarian views does not preclude one from the Republican Party.

*hears sound of alarm clock*

Damn, I just had this dream that I was back in the 1970s.
