Yep, cutting the size and scope of the federal government means: Smaller EPA, more economic growth. Get rid of Obamacare, more full time jobs. Get the federal government out of education and get rid of Common Core, have school choice, more HS graduates.

Rolling back Obama's unlawful amnesty is not "getting rid of immigrants", so you are lying. Illegals are not immigrants they are squatters. This is an issue about Obama bypassing congress to make law. He is acting like a king. The federal judge issued a stay to stop him which he is ignoring. He should be in jail.

One of the many strategies used to secure Congress's approval of war was creating and sustaining the perception that it would be near costless.

The reality is the vast majority of spending was treated as an" off the books" expense achieved via supplementary emergency appropriations independent of the Pentagon's annual budget.

We've run up gargantuan deficits Bush's last year (when Dems controlled the House & Senate), and every year since Obama's been President (though the Repub contolled House and now Senate are reducing it), what have we gotten for all that spending..imo, not much. Haven't improved infrastructure or health care.

Liberals, do you think doubling taxes and giving it to non-workers and non-producers will improve things?

Put the koolaid down. The GOP is no better at "cutting the budget" than the Dems are. The GOP was in chatrge 6.5 out of the 8 yearts Bush was in the WH and nothing improved. Neither side wants spending cuts.

Thats not really true. Just because government isnt "doing" it, doesnt mean it doesnt need to be done..

For example, if government pickups trash in your area, and all of a sudden they stop, this doesnt make trash pickup disappear. This would just get contracted out to the private sector.

Nobody's debating the point that cuts in federal spending needs to be done. Nobody in Washington seems to be willing to do it.

If you have ever had any significant role in any business, you know that almost any decent sized department can find ways to reduce its budget.
Part of my question was WHY are you cutting the budget?

federal law enforcement can also be consolidated as well into a few departments. these changes alone would save a ton of money due to the elimination of expensive upper management.

after that a modest 5% reduction in spending by every department, including the military, would be instituted. the military can bolster their training and supply budgets by cutting unneeded weapons programs.
Why? Why are we cutting everything by 5%?

How many times does voodoo economics have to blatantly fail for you conservatives to realize it is bullcrap? Tax cuts do not stimulate the economy.

Well duhhhhh. The government is suppose to spend money!

A balanced budget amendment will never happen because it is stupid. The economy cannot grow without Federal Spending.

My point was when are conservatives going to come up with policy of their own? Everything is a repeal.
