This has pretty much been true for the last 30 years. They even attacked Dukakis' wife for something when he was a candidate. The good news is that it used to be a death knell for candidates to have smoked pot ever. At least now, that is fairly meaningless and accepted.

So what happened with numb nuts in the Whitehouse then? He was raised by domestic terrorists who instilled him with a hatred for America. He was a part time instructor, a mediocre lawyer and was in the senate for a couple of years during which time he rarely made it to votes yet look what happened.
Take Hillary, she has 8-10 times more expierience, albeit corrupt, and she's getting eaten alive by the very press that gave numb nuts a pass.
