Our president's father Obama sr. was born a into a Muslim family . His grandfather converted to the Islamic religion and raised his son that way although President Obama says his father became an Athiest before he met his mother . President Obama did grow up in a Muslim country and attend a public school that did teach some of the Muslim religion while still a young child. How does that affect his view of Muslim countries and how does that affect those country's view of him?
These articles suggest Muslims in other countries may view our President as one of them. In the Muslim world once a Muslim always a Muslim and anyone who converts is guilty of Apostacy and can be arrested and sentenced to death in a Muslim country. Take the case of a woman named Meriam Ibrahim. She was raised Christian by her mother similarly to President Obama she married a Christian man and lives in the US, her father left her family when she was young and so she maintains she has always been Christian but when she went back to the Sudan to visit family she was arrested and sentenced to death for apostasy the abandoning of the Islamic religion, and for marrying a Christian man which is against their Sharia law. Only worldwide intervention saved her life.
In the view of the Muslim world is President Obama a Christian, or a Muslim who has committed apostasy?
Things like this issue below also strengthen the belief that Obama may still have a connection to the Islamic faith in his heart. President Obama gave Syria $195million in aid during an important Muslim holiday and mentioned the holiday while giving the money. It does give some the impression that he is celebrating the holiday with them.
