The fallout continues from the president's dishonesty. And the rest of America is suffering because of it.

200,000 residents of Colorado who recieved a waiver on Obamacare mandated coverage on their old insurance policies when it was revealed that the president lied about consumers being able to keep their insurance policies if they liked them. People are up in arms about it.

"Obama lied to the American people and now Colorado families are being forced to bear the burden of that lie. Republicans are arguing that people who want to stay on their old plans should be able to.

Colo. to end ACA exception for 190K people

i swear you Republicans post these articles like we dont click the link and read them.

The Insurance commissioner in the state decided to let the old plans expire, not President Obama

And your quote about people being up in Arms, is actually from republican congressman Mike Coffman

but you know, facts.

The plans that people are being kicked off are plans that did not pass the bare minimum standard of the law. I highly doubt they actually loved those plans.

I'm an engineer by profession. When I design and run construction projects, I have to follow a certain state and federal set of standards. Before these standards came out, many many many people died in fires and building collapses that could have been prevented through simple common sense.

For example, theater doors used to open inward and it was standard practice for theater owners to lock and chain fire escapes to prevent people from sneaking in. And before standards came out regarding these things, thousands of people died in fires and building collapses that were 100% preventable.

If anything, I'm just surprised that we finally came around to having the bare minimum set of standards for something as essential as health insurance.

Thanks for deconstructing the hyperbole and hysteria.

Republicans are doing everything they can to make affordable health care an impossibility, and somehow their voting base is blaming the President for it.

The Dumbing Down of America rolls on….

Then they could of opted for higher cost plan. Under Obamacare that choice is already made for them.

These standards are one of the reasons for the increase in insurance costs over the last few decades, mandates they cover everything under the sun in some states drives up costs. It doesn't matter how good the insurance is if you can't afford it.

Their decision is ultimately dictated by Obamacare and if YOU took the time to read the article they would expire after 2016 because of Obamacare.

In fact many where given these extensions including many Union and company policies. This is just one that is stopping the extensions. But as stated he did lie repeatedly to people; its a simple fact.

So the original post is a lie and when everyone points that out, the lies continue.

The reason health care costs have gone up over the past few decades is not due to mandates. There is a basic level of coverage and you can choose your plan. If you don't make enough and you live in a state that participates, you can get coverage via Medicaid. If you don't live in a state that supports it, vote the current party out of office.

I did read the article, the problem with your argument is that the OP does not accurately reflect the source article as the OP was arguing that they expired this year and they are not, the insurance commission chose not to allow them to be renewed.

That whole misdirection argument doesnt work with anyone who actually read the Article and the OP and wasnt blindly attacking Obamacare.
