Iran is THE single most important issue our country is facing right now. The President didn't cause and shouldn't try and solve the so called housing meltdown !

Yes, Silas, people in small boats zooming around our billion dollar world-destroying ships is THE most important issue of our times. That, despite the admission from the Pentagon that the event's threat level was grossly exaggerated. Let's not let logic enter our reality, shall we? While we're at it, let's also coat Bush with Teflon because every sane person knows he's not at fault for anything.

Forgive me. I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. I do, however, share in your assessment that the president is not at fault for our economic problems (the economy has too slow a metabolism to attribute its current condition to any sitting President). But, it IS his fault to not address the problem. His penchant for wearing blinders whenever he sees the problems real Americans face is particularly odious. Does he think that war with Iran will be an economic boon for us? Is that why he's saber-rattling?

If you want Iran to be the biggest issue, then FEAR must be your biggest emotion. It isn't my biggest emotion. Mine is anger, a far more productive catalyst when coupled with intelligence. I wish it was peace, but, sadly, I'm not there yet.
