Like it or not the system is not perfect. A female teacher has sex with a young boy.. she gets a slap on the wrist and all the men cheer.... a male teacher has sex with a female student and it's life in prison... there are double standards and there is no set standard as each case will be decided by who the judge, prosecutors, etc. are.

I agree with you on principle..my solution is to set the drinking age at 18, 15 with parents and give these 'kids' the same freedom adults get. The nanny state will not comply.

It's the jury that decides, not the judge or prosecutor. The courts can make things better or worse but ultimately it's all up to a jury of people carefully selected to make sure they don't know anything about anything.

Lightbulb So if kids can be tried as adults, why can't adults be tried as kids?

Because they're too old.

duh!

Hope that clears up the confusion.
