Corporations and Banks are the major funders of Presidential Candidates and Parties so really my question is putting the horse before the cart.

Multinational Corporations and Big Banks pretty much own our government given the amount of money, lobbying and revolving door positions they hold.

Since they have so much influence over our government, then they are responsible for the well being of all citizens of this nation via economic and foreign policy.

They have failed

I agree- The TPP (and ACA, NAFTA, Fed Reserve Act and nearly all important legislation) is written by corporations; they just get their whores in Congress to push it through.

Both private and public are responsible for this collusion. The American people are only responsible for being apathetic and ignorant to let all this happen.

In the case of TPP though Congress has not been informed.
The President is dealing with this directly and by himself. And he wants Congress to give him the authority to finalize it without their ratification.

Even Dems are up on arms over this.

Obama tells Democrats: ‘Get informed, not by reading the Huffington Post’ - The Washington Post

The important issue here is which party will give away our way of life. The TPP could be a game changer 10X greater then Nafta.

Nafta passed with support of both the GOP and Dems.

It is up to us as citizens to make sure this does not get through. The best way is to tie any contributions you make to a statement.
Why would I give you money if you take jobs away from our people.

What's with the secrecy with this?
The reports I have read in Australia, are that not even all the negotiators know the details...

The U.S. is about 5% of the world population.

Should US business ignore the business opportunities of selling product/ service to the other 95%?

About 60% of GE's revenue comes from markets outside the U.S. GE's US jobs depend on continued growth in the global market.
