I have news for you... Cruz has the same chance of becoming president as pond scum. He is far too extreme and polarizing in his views to ever gain the necessary breadth of appeal. He appeals to extremists, and while they're a vocal bunch, they are ultimately in the minority. So he is doomed from the start. And so is Trump. You probably already knew this.
The only thing worth pointing out with Cruz is that conservatives are hypocrites for going Birther on Obama (on As is of conspiracy rumors and lies) but ignoring it with Cruz, where it is indisputable that he wasn't born here.
it's not me, it's the birthers, your brethren, who are vocally stating that cruz isn't eligible.
I don't really give a damn, and I'm not a "birther." My reasons for not liking Obama have to do with his ideology. He is a Marxist/socialist bent on destroying ("fundamentally transforming") the United States of America.
But I do find it curious why he has been unable to produce a valid birth certificate.

As for where Ted Cruz was born it doesn't matter. He is a "natural born citizen" according to the definition which has been affirmed by the Supreme Court previously. A number of Constitutional attorneys have commented on this and affirmed it. In other words, that ship has sailed, and it is pointless to try to debate this in Cruz' case. It's a dead issue.

I don't doubt it. I'm not actually a Birther; I'm pointing out how stupid and hypocritical conservatives were to be Birthers in one case but not the other. At least Trump of all people has some shred of consistency in his spiel on this. Sure, Cruz will be eligible to run, and he is by all accounts a smart guy. But he won't win because he is far too extreme for most Americans. You can't win elections with just loony toons appeal.
