Why doesn't he go by his REAL name Rafael ? It is obvious he doesn't want people to know he is a Cuban therefor a Communist. First in, probably the first to drop out.

Can you imagine Sarah Palin chumming up to Rafael? She couldn't do it.

We need to see his birth certificate and verifiable proof Rafael wasn't born in Cuba.

Ted Cruz pretty much embodies what's wrong with the GOP. This can go in one of two ways, 1) he forces the mainstream candidates to move far to the right, or 2) he appears so bat crazy that he makes the crazy GOP mainstream candidates seem sane.

But whatever, no chance he gets elected. Maybe if he plays his cards right he gets to be on the ticket.

I am really glad Ted Cruz is openly running for office instead of pursuing his usual passive aggressive methods of garnering attention. At least now, he may be openly questioned and challenged regarding his hypocrisy and deceptive statements. It is great that those who disagree with him can now challenge his assertions in an open forum.

His half-truths and non-truthful statements would be attacked as 'lies' if Obama had said them. Let's see if the Obama critics hold Cruz to the same standards of the 'truth.' This is going to be good.

I'm willing to bet that Cruz will use his 'Hispanic' roots when addressing certain demographics. Cruz can pander with the best of them.
