I was having a discussion with a friend the other day about East Coast Bias in this country. He spent time growing up on the West Coast and talked about how people out there hate how the Eastern Seaboard tends to dominate all societal, political, and sports discussions in the country. It's something I never thought about having been born in New Jersey, growing up and going to college in North Carolina, and now living in the D.C. area. Do you believe there is still an East Coast Bias in American society and media?
I would NOT say ALL of the east coast. just NY, which is where the media HQa are.

TV/News networks have a bias toward the megacorporations that own and control them, but many are located in NYC so it may seem to be NYC-centric.
Also, time zones work in favor of the East Coast in this country.

Its not a Bias, more so reality.
More winning sports team, a greater visual divide among politicians, more unusual weather. the national capital being here.
