I wish you were right. I talked to the HSA Bank today and when they told me this I asked to be transferred to the manager who told me the same thing. And yes, I'm pissed off about it.

Do you have an HSA? and are you contributing every year?
Is your wife on the same insurance policy as you?

If you got separate policies did your wife get her own HSA account?
If! you both contributed did you move her contributions to her new HSA account?

Why is it that so many assume that in a period of great change ALL the changes should be for the better for EVERYONE no matter what?
Actually a lot of it depends on the state as well. in states with low competition EVERYONE got hosed.
