Demand for more mosques in France raises tension - Telegraph

I guess our immigration problems could be worse.

Better visit Europe while it's still nominally European.

LOL...France gets zero sympathy from me on this one. It should have stayed out of other people's countries. Spare me the tears as they make their way into yours and religiously/culturally impact the society.

In a couple of years they are going to have to reclassify "The Camp of the Saints" from fiction to history

If you haven't read that book I highly suggest you do.
What is in that book is exactly what is happening today.

What do you mean they're 'demanding' that?

How does building places of worship work in France? Can you not just raise money, purchase some property and use that as a Mosque? Why don't they just open up more Mosques? Can they not do that?

Why would it be an issue to open more mosques?

Oh, right. Bigotry.

France is always the first to fall. I wonder how many days until the next massive terror attack in that country.

The article quotes a muslim leader as claiming that local governments deny permits to mosques and prayer rooms.

I think the reason why there is so much fear amongst Christians when it comes to Islam is the fact these two religions are interested in aggressively converting new believers into their flock. Believing that their's is the "one true religion" they are having a cold war with each other. Both Christianity and Islam seem to want world domination. I'm not talking about individual Christians or Muslims; I've met many individuals of these faiths who are quite tolerant and accommodating to people of other belief systems.

You don't hear about Buddhists alarmed at Hinduism - or Taoists massacring Sikhs - or Jains ranting and railing against Jews.
