I truly don't understand the obsession some folks have about Obama.

He's been a fairly centrist President, right out of the mold of Clinton, the Bushes and even Reagan.

I have disagreed with all of them on various issues but there's really not much difference among them.

I beg to differ, arjay57...
Reagan is rolling over in his grave with your calling him anything CLOSE to BHO... And George Sr. and George Jr are too... and they're not even dead yet!
I don't like Mr. Clinton, but that's even insulting to him!
Your 'constitutional president' is far from any of those you mentioned... in ethics or politics, in my opinion.
And yes, I am part of that vast right winged conspiracy group...

That (finding something wrong) didn't take ANY time... he's a socialist and wants the US to follow that principle... just how many more days is he in? TOO many!

Gee, I thought that was part of the job description, leader of the free world and all.

By the way, it is a close tie between Trump, and Kanye. Although there Palin, Michael Moore, Bill O'Reilly, Brian Williams, are definitely in the running.

He has turned his office into a monarchy and rules unilaterally, ignoring the historic system of checks and balances put in place by our Founders, precisely to avert this kind of behavior. He really believes that the other two branches of government exist only to serve his needs and to confirm his ego-maniacal narcissism. The sad thing is that he has none of the tools necessary to lead a world power so his solution is to consign this country into second-rate status. His treatment of Israel is shameful but he is incapable of feeling any shame as narcissists just don't know what that feeling is. Shame is what I feel when "my president" speaks on behalf of this great country that he is trying to grind into the ground.
He is a narcissist of the highest order. It goes back to his application to university. He was accepted on a record of mediocrity. He then transferred to Columbia from Claremont on a record of continued mediocrity. He then went to Harvard Law based again on a record of continued mediocrity. All along he never once said "no" to the offer or make it a point to double his effort to earn his spot.

At Harvard Law, the standards of the Law Review changed and he was able to join. I think he flourished there.

But afterwards, he went back to his old ways. He was offered a chance to teach a few laws courses at the U of C without but the thinnest of legal scholarship.

Then he decided to run for local office. Great. He earned that. But instead of remaining to cut his teeth, he began to show up on the radar of the Democratic machine. He fit the bill: tall, attractive, reasonably eloquent, a different story.

From there, he never said "no." With almost no experience he ran for state senate. Then we ran for US Senate. Then he was anointed as the Second coming. And then ran for the Presidency. He was grossly underqualified for each. Yet he never said "no."

Many out there dislike Obama. Me? I am saddened by him. Had he instead spent more time at each position He might have been a fantastic candidate in say the 2020 election. Instead, he was premature and green , without much originality of idea, without much knowledge of domestic or foreign affairs, and without a good command of public policy at the state or national level. Sad, really. What could have been.

He has not been a horrible president, but he rates very poorly versus his future potential and versus the demands of the tasks placed before him.

But he was the G-rated Black President we as a nation felt it needed to assuage its guilt. So we elect a guy who was not a descendant of American slaves. We got who we wanted without really challenging ourselves.

It's weird that the proclaimed 'leader of the free world' has such an ego, huh?

Good call on O'Reilly. He's a legend in his own mind.
