I'm with desertdetroiter on this one --- why the deafening silence from every media outlet?
Very simple. They did not want the American people to know about it.
And it's not just for TPP but also some European trade pact as well.

The very bill goes against all they have stated publicly about Americans losing jobs.

But offshoot sites have posted about this.

Found this from February 2015...Paul Ryan hoping it passes quickly.

Paul Ryan looks forward to passage of bill limiting congressional input on controversial trade deal

You see, by the time you read it in the MSM it's already too late.
And many of you don't believe the offshoot sites. "They aren't credible" you say.

The best part is, The Nation less Mega Corporations will have free rein of the world, and if other countries cause them to "lose" profits, they can sue the Government - Tax Payers that had no say in the TPP to begin with.

Free Bailouts from the Tax Payers of the World

The Too Big to Fail just got an incentive to get Bigger and crush all the small business and potential startups

“We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years......It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supernational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national autodetermination practiced in past centuries.”
― David Rockefeller

“For more than a century ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents such as my encounter with Castro to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure--one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.”
― David Rockefeller

Because no one wants to be remembered for supporting it, and because they don't want anyone to know what they are doing. Sometimes it makes sense to play the public, and sometimes it doesn't. If they want people talking about something, they'll pick up the phone and call the media, but not this time.

The fast-track authority would likely pave the way for both the controversial Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership agreement with the European Union and the Trans-Pacific Partnership with a dozen Asian nations. Both deals are vastly larger than NAFTA, and would involve about two-thirds of the entire world’s economy. Currently, the United States has trade agreements covering just 10 percent of world trade.

That's too bad, two trans-Pacific shippers just pulled out of Portland.

We have all seen the great result from both NAFTA and CAFTA. Now the political elites want to push more jobs out of our country. Here in NC factories that once supported communities now are antique malls, condos or being torn down.

The best way to fight this is to tell all Politicians that they may get paid off for supporting this TPP. They will lose the vote of the people. This is not a left or right issue, it is about our kids and grandkids being able to not have to work in Walmart all their lives.

Give no support or money to either party if this makes it out of the Congress.

Yes-

The same turncoats that gutted the middle class and the manufacturing sector under Clinton and China most favored nation trade status are promoting this.

This is a BAD DEAL for all Americans; the greatest benefit noted from the most optomistic estimates suggest that US incomes would improve .1%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the best case scenario.

Why in the hell do our politicians, who seem to become wealthy millionaires as a result of "service", seem to always support these "deals" that continue to erode the standard of living among the middle class????

We need politicians who will stand up for the middle class and stop enriching themselves in exchange for political favors. Oddly, the Clintons, the kings of exchanging political favors for personal wealth, are positioning themselves to assume control of the presidency in 2016. Has the nation collectively lost its mind?

Where are the Trumans, Reagans, FDRs, TRs, Garfields, Clevelands, Lincolns, Jacksons, Monroes, Adams, Jeffersons, and Washingtons of our times?

God help us.

To bad the media didn't bash this issue over the publics head so someone could get all worked up about it and fly a gyrocopter onto the Capital lawn.

Things such as these should come slow, carefully, and well advised.

Giving away jobs, taking away social security and expanding welfare programs.

The future does not bode well for the US.
