Probably not. They make profit primarily because they #1 Win and #2 are in the SEC.

Giving yourself a competitive disadvantage would hit the profit eventually.

There is no need to privatize a football team thats pulling in money to the university.

They should just do what people are advocating of the minimum wage and just double admission fees.. yeah, that'll solve the problem overnight, people wont seek to go elsewhere,

Some people need to remind republicans that the economic miracle of Reagan in the 80's was because the tax rates were 70 ****ing. % 70 people seventy!

Of course that worked. The same will not happen when you go from 40 to 35. Or cut the max state tax to 5% for every freaking body.

Republicans are the party of stupid.

Will LSU and Southern University combine? If you avoid two universities in a city the size of Baton Rouge, that should save a nice chunk of change.

Bankruptcy will provide the state an opportunity to layoff its excess administrative staff, as well as release some otherwise useless liberal arts professors.

The Real Reason College Tuition Costs So Much

By contrast, a major factor driving increasing costs is the constant expansion of university administration. According to the Department of Education data, administrative positions at colleges and universities grew by 60 percent between 1993 and 2009, which Bloomberg reported was 10 times the rate of growth of tenured faculty positions

Nope, A great deal of that money comes from TV contracts. The general population isn't interested in watching no talent teams, so no contract. These popular sports programs at larger Universities like football or men's basketball not only pay for themselves but are usually used to prop up the rest of the sports programs.
