For being a so-called "Conservative" Reagan sure spent and wasted a lot of money. I guess we all have our own idea as to what the term actually means.

That is true.. As I have, It says more about the person stating that Obama is not a liberal than it does Obama. This thread is about the comparison of the 2 economies.
It is well documented... Reagan struck a deal with democrats (Tip Oneil), you know working across the aisle Close loop holes on taxes to increase revenue while cutting spending about 280 billion over the same period. Taxes got raised but guess what... shocker spending never got cut.
