why are you restricting yourself to 30 years

mortgages are available in multiple levels from 5years to 50 years...with the average one being 20 years.....

btw you get a lower interest rate on a 15 or 20 year than you do from a 30 year...and since mortgage payment are usually not far off from a rental price.... your better off buying....

Minnesota is liberal. You can see that by how over regulated the rental market is.

Why didn't YOU ask about adding air-conditioning BEFORE you signed the contract.

Are you talking about whole hose or a window unit?

Did you put it in writing that YOU would pay ALL the costs of the install AND the costs of removal when you leave?

Why would you rent a place WITHOUT reading the contract?

Why do some ALWAYS blame the other guy for their own inadequacies?

This was one of my first jobs when I graduated HS........I was shocked at what a mess the college students left these rentals. Makes one wonder why people who can afford to go to school, don't know how to live in a clean place. Are parents not teaching their kids about the benefits of living in a clean space???? Al improvements paid for by the owner......deposits barely cover the month they leave early.

as far as i know, whether you rent or "buy" your home you still dont own it

the govt can take it if you dont pay taxes or via emminent domain

all these folks in the little master planned communities etc dont own the lots "your house" is on, you dont have mineral rights, dont have shht

we are all essentially "renting"

if someone can take your ish, YOU DONT OWN IT

of course most will dissagree but its jmho

Over the years my friend got smarter and smarter.

She took pictures BEFORE she rented them out and sent them to the parents.

The parents ALSO had to sign the lease. No students allowed to sign.

Clean up be like the pictures was required and the PARENTS had to pay.

Her actions saved a LOT of headaches and money.
