My opinion is he was injured when the police threw him to the ground after catching and tackling him. This is equivalent to a bad fall and there are a lot of people who are paraplegic or quadriplegic because they fell and hit the ground head first. I was impressed by the short video tape showing the police throwing Gray into the paddy wagon like a bag of potatoes. Stuff like that made a bad injury worse to the point that even the best medical care was to no avail. Baltimore has one of the best ERs in this nation at the Univ of MD Medical School called Shock-Trauma, the staff are very good but they are not miracle workers.
