Only if you specifically define "birthright citizenship" strictly as "children born to illegal immigrants" do you get a response like that. But that's not the question here.
No, because too many voters have very few generations between themselves and their nearest immigrant ancestor.
Were those ancestors here illegally? That's the kicker here. Anchor babies of course would want birthright citizenship for children of illegal aliens because that's how they themselves achieved citizenship in our country. In other words a selfish vested interest.

What should be done, the ones that want the illegals here should be required to take them in and take care of them....Watch how many of these amnesty supporters dry up. The democrats aren't stupid. The republicans are. The democrats are just responding to the demands of the growing Latino and Hispanic community. And that is why they will win 2016.
The normal legal action is to deport the parents and child to the parents' home nation and give the child the option to take up his American citizenship when he reaches the age of majority. If that's not happening, there are other things going wrong...it's not the "anchor baby" issue.
See, we relocated and looking around, I see this and that is when I started looking for the facts. "Illegal" is the operative for me but we also need to curb the industry that is bringing the wealthy in to make their babies US citizens.
