I'm not at all pleased with people who come to my neighborhood to provoke these kinds of shenanigans. Lucky the vehicle wasn't rigged with explosives after all, or it could have taken out my family.
So when they tell you to bow to Mecca or get blown up, you'll do it?
Don't know how you can draw that conclusion from Kirk's statement. Quite a stretch on your part, if you ask me.
No, not in the sense that it's a slippery slope...you start bowing to their demands to stop our 1st amendment right and pretty soon, you're going to be told to bow to Mecca or else. Better to send these heathen's back to their hell holes to tend sheep.
Don't forget, she is also a bully. What is the difference in what she is doing compared to "inciting a riot, yelling "fire" in a movie theater, or saying "hijack" on a plane? Those are all illegal due to safety reasons.
Hold up a minute. What exactly are you saying? Are you saying we shouldn't risk inflammatory speech because someone might get hurt? Would you have said that to the civil rights activists in the 1960s? What about those walking on a union picket line? Or breaking the picket line? Should they just stay home and shut up because of "safety reasons?"
The only things interesting about this shooting in Garland, TX are:
1. 2 guys with Assault rifles managed to hit a Security officer in the ankle and began fire against a Police officer in his squad car.
2. The Police officer pulled his handgun and killed them both. (Texans tend to do a lot of target practice)
3. The shooters tweeted to #texasattack and posted to ISIS message boards asking for permission for the attack and pledging to ISIS.
4. The FBI was aware of one of the shooters, he was supposedly on a watch list & on probation for trying to join another Terror group, but not on a no fly list.
5. Our super-duper Intelligence spys were totally CLUELESS about the planned Texas Attack -
6. We now have 2 less ISIS Terrorists in the USA - the Police officer did a good job, the Intelligence folks had another failure.
7. Once again - I'm glad I live in Texas, where they shoot straight.
Of course, it's always interesting to watch the Leftists blame the planned 200 victims of a Terror Attack -but we are pretty much used to that by now.
Here is the official response from the American Muslim community concerning the shooting.
As the investigation continues in Garland, American Muslims were very clear in their strong condemnation of the attacks. CAIR spoke out against the shooting on Monday.
"We condemn yesterday's attack on an anti-Islam event in Garland, Texas, without reservation," the organization declared in a statement. "We also reiterate our view that violence in response to anti-Islam programs like the one in Garland is more insulting to our faith than any cartoon, however defamatory. Bigoted speech can never be an excuse for violence."
First off I DO NOT support 'the right' and I hate the Republican party. And what I mean by our country is that our laws and customs should apply to everyone in a uniform manner and should supersede most if not all religious beliefs that anyone has. If Muslims can't handle that, then they shouldn't come to live here instead of constantly complaining about it. And if they can't handle people making fun or even insulting their religion as they do to us, then they definitely shouldn't be coming to live here. As I said many Muslims only seem to love freedom of speech when they have something to say about us, but if we have something to say about Islam, Muslims or Mohammad all of a sudden they HATE freedom of speech and want to shut us down from saying what's on our minds about them.
Also I NEVER said all Muslims were bad, but there does seem to be a growing number of them that are. 15-20 years ago how often did anyone in the US or other western countries talk about domestic Muslim terrorists? Not very often if ever. Now its on everyone's minds. If I were in charge, I'd stop anymore Muslim immigrants from coming here from the Mideast and Africa. I mean seriously of all the places we could choose from to allow immigrants to come and live here, why in the HELL would we choose from the group that is frequently the most problematic? Why not say allow more asian immigrants to come here when they mostly cause relatively little trouble while at the same time will contribute quite abit to this country? Seems like a much better investment to me than Muslims.
For someone who is not "the right" and "hates" them, you sound EXACTLY like the far right. Even here, with your "explanation" of what you said, makes you sound more extreme right than ever.
You did not say "some" you said Muslims. They do NOT have to adapt to our customs. Whose customs? The Chinese who live here? Koreans? The Italians? The Irish? The Latinos? The atheists? The Jews? The Christians?
Whose customs do you expect them to agree to?
Your second paragraph only shows more that you do think it's all Muslims, no matter how much you deny it.
You're right - we are a melting pot. BUT, no matter if you're born here or came here, you don't get to kill someone because of something they said, wrote or drew. That is protected in OUR country.
And being a bigot may not be "right", but it is legal and it is protected.
I didn't say it justified these idiots' behavior. Do you all not read what people write? I was responding to someone who made a blanket statement about Muslims, despite his denials.
