Sounds like a sitting on the couch, bon-bon eating, Jerry Springer watching 'entitled' person trying to justify their existence.... GET - A - JOB -

The rich pay FAR higher percentages than middle or lower class... FAR MORE... As someone else stated, ...so you want to tax the rich for their success? That makes absolutely NO sense...

Go back to eating your bon-bons, watching Jerry Springer and collecting your EBT cards (plural, not singular on purpose).

Exactly,

Its how Buffet and Gates got to be worth tens of billions.

How can they not know this, is a mystery.

What total horse puckey. Poor people pay a higher percentage of their income in taxes than you do and certainly more than rich people.

Sales taxes, payroll taxes, utility taxes, gas taxes, etc.

If you say this is news to you, you are either too ignorant to be in this discussion, or you are lying through your teeth.

About 50% of the nation not only doesnt pay income taxes, but they actually get a check from the federal government.

I have yet to hear how a negative tax rate is a higher percentage than a positive one.

To be rich yourself you have to know how the rich got rich to begin with.
There's nothing stopping anyone from doing the same thing the rich do to grow wealth.

No one ever got rich from income alone.

It's clear you have absolutely no point to make when you have to resort to bizarre ad-hominem attacks against a person you don't even know

Progressive taxation discourages income inequality, period. If the top rate is 90% like it used to be, no CEO is going to pay themselves a $XXX million salary. They will either invest it or donate it. Both actions are better for society than them paying themselves a ludicrous salary.
It encourages them to go elsewhere.

I can stay here at the cost of $90 million or I can go overseas and live the same life while paying $10 million.

Why do you think Apple doesn't bring billions back to our shores?

Increase the tax rate to 90%, you increase the incentive to grow wealth, and NOT receive income.. That allows them to HOARD THEIR MONEY.. which of course they dont ever sell that wealth because when they do, they are subjected to tax obligations..

You are ENOURAGING the hoarding of wealth by increasing taxes.. YOU GOT IT BACKWARDS.

Actually, tax policies had an insignificant effect on the shift to executive compensation through stock options. Instead, it was changes in corporate governance that had the significant effect

Exactly. Why would a corporation or an individual subject themselves to U.S. taxes when they can avoid them by simply keeping their money elsewhere?
