Neighbors of the alleged shooter describe him as "whacked out" and "he's changed a lot" over the last two months. Neighbors say they have called the police on Apperson on several occasions.

Exactly. Millions of white kids post rap lyrics on Facebook and/or pose like a tough guy, just like Martin did. Tens of millions actually. Millions more smoke pot. Martin was never arrested for anything though.
Hip-hop is the most popular type of music in America. It is mainstream. Liking it does not make one a "gangsta". It influences most of the fashion trends in even the whitest of schools. Just like the N word, hearing the word "gangsta" says more about the person saying it than the person being labeled.

2005 - resisting an officer with violence
2005 - restraining order filed against him by former fiancee
2012 - kills Martin
2013 - punches estranged wife's father and threatens both of them with gun
2013 - arrested for aggravated assault against his girlfriend with weapon
2014 - threatens to kill man in road rage incident, (Do you know who I am?", "I'll (expletive) kill you.")
2015 - threatens same man with gun and gets shot at
If you're going to prejudge folks, you might want to keep an eye on those who DON'T post rap lyrics on Facebook.
