So this Black Pastor is right on the money. It is positively surreal that the majority of the impoverished black community does not collectively agree with the observations and loudly press the questions that this pastor offers in the article below:
Quote:
Black Chicago Pastor: Dems ‘Failing’ Us
A pastor on the South Side is asking Republicans to talk to his flock after what he says are 50 years of disappointment from the other party.

“We have a large, disproportionate number of people who are impoverished. We have a disproportionate number of people who are incarcerated, we have a disproportionate number of people who are unemployed, the educational system has totally failed, and all of this primarily has been under Democratic regimes in our neighborhoods.”

“African-Americans have been loyal to the Democratic Party,” Pastor Corey Brooks said. “But there is a group of African-Americans that feel like the Democratic Party has not been loyal to us.” “They have a failing plan,” he said of Democrats. “A business owner wouldn’t allow the person who runs it to remain in charge for 50 years, constantly running it into the ground.”
The definition of insanity is doing the same things the same way and expecting different results. Can we all agree that this describes what the political mindset has been in this community now for at least 40 years?

As it stands right now, I challenge anyone to tell me what the Democrats are even proposing to do to that could even possibly result in the sort of radically positive change that is needed here. They are not even proposing to do anything that is substantial or potentially transformational about this situation. Rather, they are all about defending the status quo - keeping things the same - which they do routinely on these issues with great passion.

I would love to see Republicans make more of an effort to reach out to this community. However, we all know why they don't. It is because the people in this community are completely unreceptive and often times even hostile to the sort of pro-education (real learning and skills development, not just sitting in a failed school), self empowerment message that Republicans would bring.

But truth be told, the black people who have made it out of the ghetto and into the middle class have very largely made it out by following this very path.

It is sad that self empowerment and wanting a true education based on the classical subjects is not acceptable anymore, but what do you expect to happen after all these years of the media and leaders talking about how nothing is anybodies fault anymore? It is not a race thing, but a poor thing, and it has reached a point where hopefully some leaders in all the communities step up and start telling people the truth, and that is the only way out of poverty is to get an education and work your ass off.

ANYBODY that hitches their wagon completely to a single party is going to be taken advantage of.

It's as simple as that. They're politicians.

If you don't have votes or money for them, they aren't going to help you.

When your votes are taken for granted and your community isn't making big donations? You're disenfranchised.

Democratic party has not looked after blacks or the working man.. that is what should be on their agenda.. it is not... it is lip service only.

The democratic party has worked against the working classes and blacks by supporting illegals and foreigners..

This is what is happening as they outsource jobs to foreigners while blacks are highly unemployed.

Democrats haven't been for the working person since Tip O'Neal was Speaker of the House.

Politics are a tool to forcibly get what you want from your neighbor. Would Jesus belong to a political party?

The best thing black people - or any people - can do is remain a free agent politically, and quit depending on politicians for advancement.

The job of a politician does not involve advancing the outcome of anyone - including themselves.

The real problem is thinking you need to rely on a political party to "save" you.

You fail yourself. Political parties aren't failing anyone as an individual and hasn't failed any black person determined to make it in America and live the dream.

I'm a black liberal Democrat and I've managed just fine. If I were a failure, it wouldn't have a damn thing to do with my political persuasion. Tens of millions of Americans are successful registered Democrats.

This pastor should tell the real truth, but he can't afford to:

The Black Church and the Christian faith have failed the black community miserably, and they should abandon BOTH as soon as possible.

That's the real truth. But he won't tell them that.
