Nice dodge. This person above clearly would rather reject a proper historical analysis in favor of conspiracy websites and islamophobic writing because it fits their preconceived notions of what Islam is.

And what about those Seventh Day Adventists? What about Mormons? What about the Episcopalians? The Methodists? Who decides which church is the true church, which teachings are the true teachings? The fact that you would disavow others who call themselves Christian doesn't strike me as terribly Christian, either. Disavowal is the opposite of peace, love, forgiveness and tolerance. Disavowal is arrogance and judgment. Not very Christian.

We are a nation based on morality. It is hard to separate the two because Christianity is also based on that.

And if a Christian mother kills her five children because the angel Gabriel told her to, we should paint all Christian mothers as potential killers?

Because using the example of Islamic extremists to paint all Muslims as jihadists and murderers is the same kind of logic.

Irony.

You would bash the entire faith of Islam based on the actions of a few.

But you think it's wrong to bash an entire faith based on the actions of a few when the faith is Christianity.

However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way. (Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT)

If you tell slaves how to properly behave, it's tacit approval of the institution of slavery. There's no getting around that.

You can't defend your faith so you bring up someone else's.

Didn't Jesus...who is God, which means omnipotence and all knowing...know that his faith (that he didn't even invent) would be used after his death to justify slavery?

The answer would have to be 'yes.' And yet, he's neutral on slavery. Why didn't he explicitly condemn it?

You can't explain this. Sorry, but it's a white man's religion used to justify slavery and subjugation despite its more modern and moderate face. And the moderation has nothing to do with the religion itself, but the Enlightenment and advances in sciences and humanities.

**if**... still against Christianity, but not according to Islam in many ways.

There you go again. What do you mean by "white man's" religion?
