It would resemble the sunni vs shia unrest in the middle east.
Because splinter groups within religions seem to never stop bickering over "who are the TRUE (choose one) Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, etc" and they'd continually be at odds over who's in power.
False. Different religion, and completely different way of life. Do these issues happen in the UK, an officially Christian state?
Koran and Old Testament are still different from each other in many ways because Muslims sees the Quran as miracle and it contains Sunnah (sayings and teachings of Muhammad) while the OT does not mention Muhammad. Anyhow Christians follow the New Testament, Jews the Old Testament/Torah. I don't see you bash Judaism at all if your point is that the OT contains violent verses.
Hmmm...
So you are saying that Christians don't believe in Genesis. Adam and Eve?
That's funny, because I can remember during catechism being specifically taught about Adam and Eve.
By some Evangelicals who do not represent Jesus Christ nor mainstream Christianity. You confuse organized religion with the actual faith.
The problem is that organized religion claims it is expressing the actual faith.
You want to separate and repudiate the beliefs you disagree with, in much the same way that the Pilgrims sought to separate themselves from the Church of England and organized religion in Europe. The problem is that the Pilgrims, after having been persecuted in England and elsewhere in Europe, came to the New World and proceeded to persecute those who didn't agree with their version of Christianity. They hung Quakers. And you, in your repudiation of those who don't believe exactly what you believe, are taking the first step in persecution, yourself, by declaring them not "real" Christians. That's how it starts.

Ireland is a very good example of those issues happening, IIRC.
