I think a kid with straight A's whose parents are surgeons is NOT as impressive as a foster kid with straight A's. In another word, A kid with straight A's whose parents are surgeons IS more impressive than a foster kid with A's and B's.

But a kid with straight A's who has other talents is far more impressive than a kid with just straight A's (regardless of their parents' social economical backgrounds.)
We all have different opinions, i happen to really admire people who overcome adverseries

Rich kid who goes to Harvard on the other hand doesnt really impress me

One would think seeing results in education college standings they would have something else to concentrate on. Just look at the story about alarming suicides among them. Doesn't seem like good place for many like in the past. Look at all changes in attitude and more violence yearly when they use to be among the safest places.

Nothing holistic—or constitutional—about that.
Doesn't matter. Schools don't want their student body to look a certain way (all rich white kids and Asians). They would become exclusive.

I don't agree with Harvard's practices, but they are private institution, not a public one. They could keep out all minorities, Jews included, if they really wanted to. No one is forcing people to apply there.

The democratic party believes black people are beneath them and have to give them foodstamps , welfare to keep them poor. They don't want them in control of their lives with a better education, independence and thinking on their own. Republicans don't talk about their giveaways... they just give , and it is no big deal. They talk about advancement of all people in education and in the workforce.

Democrats program whites as well as blacks.. whites tap the blacks on the head and give them a box of food . Of course we have white snobs who dislike poor whites too.

Privilege creates these people who truly believe to be a higher class , like to be in exclusive clubs, excluding others who are beneath them in their own sick twisted minds.

At least the Republicans say they are rich. The democrats are so very rich and act condescending to the poor.. Hollywood , with their excess of wealth , flaunting it, most say they are democrats.. living in million dollar mansions , many have many homes around he world, acting like they don't use every capitalist tool known to man. Demanding millions of dollars for a movie. And they flaunt their wealth an love to do so.
When I was a kid , I went to the movie matinee for 6 cents.. how much is a movie today?

Please explain how even the existence of "black" universities who do not allow other races are even allowed in this day and age. Talk about racism, its shameful and pathetic, especially when they promote and wear racist garbage like this. Could you imagine if there were whites only colleges and they had shirts saying "Whiter the college, the sweeter the knowledge"? Sharpton, Jackson, Obama and every other race baiter would be out in full force crying and protesting/rioting.
