I have to agree.

I don't think that the death penalty should be used very often, but there are certain cases where it's warranted.

That is exactly why some of the families of the deceased favored life in prison, they will relive this for years to come.

They'll expedite the execution like they did with McVeigh. I'd say he'll be gone inside of 5 years, probably three. Or sooner either by suicide or they'll arrange something. Good old liberal Massachusetts certainly went conservative in a hurry for this trial, didn't they? But you figure the jury knew damn well that if they'd had any reservations about sentencing him to death they'd be pariahs in the community and would be shunned by friends and family. Now we have to watch what his horrible family says and does.

I think we should add a countdown clock on Death Row, just for him. Have it count down the last several months, in full view of his cell.

I'd also have him in solitary the whole time, no visitors.

I hope you Death advocates realize that in his mind, more than likely, being put to death would make him a Martyr To The Faith, guaranteeing his welcome into Paradise.
It just very well may be, to him, the ultimate reward!
So, do you REALLY want to reward him?
I don't.
I will go so far as to give him a Koran, a prayer rug, just enough food and water to sustain life, a bed, a sink, a shower, a toilet, and one hour of outdoor exercise per day for the rest of his life.

All this while his radical misfit parents are now living in Dagestan having lost one son to radicalism and about to lose another without one scintilla of remorse for their criminal parenting methods.

Were I to have a choice, they'd both be in an adjoining cell to his throughout his death sentence and for the rest of their natural days on earth.

So what? Dead is dead. The condition that sack of excrement should be right now. Blasted cops, you can't get them to shoot someone who utterly deserves it.
