They don't have anything. That thug Chavez from Venezuela went there for cancer treatment and he still croaked.
You're gonna still croak too. We all will.
It's cancer genius. People actually die from it.

They should have agreed to a Democracy before we even considered this.
Yeah, just conveniently forget our attempt to invade their country and overthrow their leadership. A leadership that Cuban people wanted at the time BTW.

Bombed them for what?
Should we have been attacked on 9/11?

Will you send them the criminals lounging around the U.S. that they want extradited to stand trial?

It has worked before. Enter the Levi's and McDonalds and Starbucks and iPads, a few shiploads of robust used cars that aren't from the 1950s (somebody is going to make millions on that) and suddenly communism seems like a questionable idea in the minds of many. What does Russia have to offer these days?
Cubans are dirt poor. They can't afford anything. The only people with money are the communist leaders.
Yet people of your mindset is exactly why we have had no relations for over 50 years with Cuba, and if people of your mindset (i.e., Republicans) had any say it would be another 50 years.
:
You are so biased, as usual. Your Republican hated has fried your brain. Maybe you are not aware, but Dems have blocked Cuban relations too.
That's not the point....Canada has normal relations with Cuba....heck so does Europe....if Cuba had made a medical breakthrough it should already have worked it way to those areas, been peer reviewed and of course US researchers could replicate it as well.
So either:
a) Cuba is a horrible country that withheld an important health treatment from the world which has no embargo against it.
or
b) The story is a load of bull.
Most likely it's b. People dying of cancer will try anything. And I would too.
Nevertheless, normalizing relations with Cuba is a good thing.
. . . normalizing relations with Cuba is a good thing.
A good thing for whom?
The people in Havana are hungry, living in crumbling structures with no indoor plumbing, and now have no hope for change. Do you think that U.S. tourist dollars will benefit the people? Why should it be any different from the money that the Dictator has made from European tourists? A few lucky Cubans have been selected by the government to "service" the tourists, and the rest are subject to arrest if they even try to get close to the tourist areas. Instead, they get to play the hungry dogs at the butcher shop window.
