If you don't like the free food taxpayers provide, then you can get a better job and support yourself like the rest of do.

It's SNAP. Why is the STATE putting limits/restrictions on a FEDERAL benefit?

Has anyone actually read the bill, the SNAP list and the WIC list? Or did you skip to the clustereff on HuffPo and Addicting Info? You might want to do some quick reading before posting about banned foods and the evil republicans.

Only in America can people be so outraged over free and healthy food for children. ~sigh~

I have read them. In fact, it's the first thing I did when I happened upon this thread, and I'd really like to meet the person who can make heads or tails of the embarrassing boilerplate in section two of the Wisconsin bill.

To wit...

Quote:
"Recipient" means an individual who is eligible for and receiving benefits
under the food stamp program.
(b) 1. The department shall require that, of the benefits amount used by a
recipient in a month to purchase food, not less than 67 percent is used to purchase
only any of the following foods:
a. Authorized foods on the list published by the department under s. 253.06 (9).
b. Beef, pork, chicken, and fish, whether an authorized food on the list
published under s. 253.06 (9) or not.
c. Fresh produce and white potatoes, including fresh, frozen, and canned,
whether an authorized food on the list published under s. 253.06 (9) or not.
Or not? Huh? How is anyone supposed to make sense of this?

As for freeloaders, I will see what they buy if I am there, kind of hard to miss the chips, pretzels, cookies and beer that EBT card buys when I am behind the ton of lard buying it at the store. The card is identifiable. Used like a credit card. And that's what it is. A card that is charged up with some of my money and then watch lardo get into a new Silverado and head off to the reservation. Again hard to miss.

Pathetic.
Hey, since you have money and all that, why don't you buy a video camera (if you don't have one at present) and post the video of a ton of lard buying chips and beer with your money and driving away in her brand new truck?

Seeing is believing!

Nah. If you really had money you would live in a place with others of the same income. People with money don't shop where poor people shop.

Gave yourself away, there, guy.

I once worked at a store where we got a lot of freeloaders and they a!ways asked if they could buy things like ice cream with their food stamps then complained they couldn't use them. Well gee if they got a JOB they could. In fact we were always hiring but we work?

first off lobster is not as expensive as it once was. Secondly you must be very proud of yourself to get a few in food stamps kicked off, did you have actual proof they were scanning the system?

if I were the "jerk" you pointed to I would break your finger and then make you pay for my dinner. You come off sounding like a low life small minded, greedy lil brat. Let's just got for your sake you don't get you dream of gutting welfare when the time comes and you need some help. People like you are pathetic
Actually yes I had proof. One was my former best friend who was selling drugs. Another was getting food with her stamps and selling and a third had a cash job.
