LOL..actually it was Pelosi that paved the way.

Pelosi Stands Down On TAA, Clearing Way For Obama's Trade Agenda
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) waved the white flag on Wednesday, telling her caucus she would support passage of a key measure tethered to President Barack Obama's broader trade agenda. Her support all but guarantees that the measure will succeed, thereby handing Obama a major victory on trade.

The US has been losing jobs for 30 years due to lack of laws that penalize offshoring, NAFTA just sped it up. We still make lots of high value stuff here, we just dont employ very many people to get it done, productivity in the last 30 years has probably increased over 100%.

FALSE DATA. Why ? Because it's in dollars, not actual productivity.
Dollar Data rises as INFLATION rises, regardless of actual prductivity !!!

ah yes, Huffpo. Primary source, right? Nope. They're citing Global Trade Watch.
http://www.citizen.org/documents/NAFTA-at-20.pdf

Global Trade Watch, they must've done the analysis then, right? Nope. Apparently they are citing the EPI.

so let's look at the EPI, which I reckon would've been the place to link to in the first place, had anyone actually read the sources they post.
http://s2.epi.org/files/page/-/old/b.../173/bp173.pdf

Which, if you wade through it, is based on a model of job-creation estimates, not an an analysis of actual jobs created or lost. They spend a large portion of the paper arguing that someone else's model -- which reached different conclusions -- is wrong. Hardly a clear conclusion.

How do you want to measure it, by weight?

I would provide you with an alternative measurement, but lately I'm becoming less inclined to go dig up sources for people who are too helpless to provide their own.
