Its sad when i look in c-d under politics and other controversies that i dont see any threads i want to comment on or heck even open and read. It used to not be this way. Its to the point where when you post theres not much fun to posting your point because of the hatred that gets posted against you or deflections. It used to be a fun give and take of ideas between people who had different thoughts but respected your point of view. I wonder how many quality posters have left or just lerk this site like me? How do we bring those type of threads back? Those type of posters back?

Hmmm would an example of that in this case be......
My strategy has been a very long ignore list. It reduces the noise and facilitates discussion with people who exercise civility even while in disagreement. Try it. Just today, I added three new people. I'm up to twenty-two, and I'm pretty sure I will be adding someone else before the evening is over.
Edit: now up to twenty-three!

Don't know if I was a quality poster or not, but I too have pretty much stopped posting on CD, particularly P&OC. It is very tiring to deal with the outright ignorance some folks display, and worse wear proudly.
