The anger is misdirected at corporations. They don't make the law,
That is not technically true.

Get rid of corporate welfare, institutional welfare bums, foreign aid, and we could improve our educational system as well as infrastructure.

The same way that Western Europe, bar the UK, funds their higher education

College tuition is among the cheapest, if not the cheapest, in the developed world in Germany. Their unemployment rate is under 5%. Stop being such a narrow-minded, think-inside-the-box American
Don't they use a standardized exam system for university admissions in those countries? And only the people with high scores get to even go to college? That would never fly in this country. And you know why.

But that is not reality. Going to college is pushed even on students who have failed and barely made it through K-12.

Then they get to CC (because they can't get into a 4 year) and fail the remedial courses.

More and more students going to CC need remedial classes (Math/Reading/Writing) because they failed the college placement tests.

Im amazed by all the...what was the word you used? "idiots"? Lets not use that word. try "people" that think that just because we reference something being free to the user of it, that everyone thinks that school buses magically appear, and teachers work for free.

Very very few do believe that. why is it that you believe "idiots" ahem "people" come to this forum believing that? People who refer to it is free are referring to the direct cost of the individual, not that the item itself is at no cost to anyone.

Can we stop with this nonsense?

The government must enact laws to force corporations to hire according to their
profitability scale.
Forcing businesses to hire people. Wow.

Lets pick a company. How about Apple, one of the most profitable in the world. What kind of people should they be forced to hire? Please tell me how you would make this work.

Yes it is true. Corporations don't vote in the Senate or House. In the end, it's a politician who makes the decision to sell out. No corporation can force a senator to vote a certain way. That senator has the final choice. If he/she CHOOSES to do what is in their best interest by voting the way a corporation wants, it was still the politicians CHOICE in the end.

If you want corporations to stop influencing politicians, stop voting for those politicians.

If we put an end to the $100 billion PER YEAR we WASTE on illegal immigration, we could probably do a lot of great things.

Don't hold your breath waiting though.

That is technically true. Congress passes a law and it becomes enacted when the President signs it.

TECHNICALLY that's how laws are made.
