I think this is a good idea. k12 is free. Why can't college be?

Because college isn't a good choice for everyone. And making it free will create excessive demand and consumption.

It will cause too many graduates with unemployable degrees, massive increases in enrollment, and more commodity education (300 kids in each class),

College tuition is among the cheapest, if not the cheapest, in the developed world in Germany. Their unemployment rate is under 5%. Stop being such a narrow-minded, think-inside-the-box American
