More like instead of going after the guy who broke the rules and brought germs into the clean room, you want to add more rules on the people who follow the rules.
NO, we arent debating that, the argument here is whether or not the clean room itself(Chicago) works, and it does, there for the thread is invalid.
I just read the whole thread. A few of The "usual gun rights/race baiters" just barely,....by the smallest margin, condemned them and then, very grudgingly. Most of the usual gun right's foamers stayed out of the thread. Lots of comparisons about how the bikers were "good thugs" instead of those "evil black thugs".

I was saying that Chicago gun control doesn't work because the criminals can just go to Indiana, so gun control would need to be national to be effective.

The Premise of your argument is that the laws in Chicago dont work, and that is untrue. The guns used here arent from CHicago, they are from every where else.
So no, your attempt at attacking Chicago does not prove the President wrong, it shows that other parts of this nation have very simplistic gun laws.
The only law in the city of Chicago that has somewhat of an impact is the banning of gun stores.
Travel outside of the city and bingo.
Straw purchasers don't need gun shows or to travel far.
3 Times as many gun recovered were from the state of Illinois than the next state of Indiana.

Your premise only works if you close down guns sales in the US completely. Good luck with that... you know... 2nd amendment and all.
Then your only problem is the 320 million guns in existence. Criminal will always find a way to get guns.
Chicago is seen as having some of the most restrictive gun ordinances in the country. Gun shops are banned, and no civilian gun ranges exist. There is a ban on both assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. But more than 15,000 of the guns traced by the police came from just outside the city limits in Cook County and in neighboring towns that permit gun stores. States with the most guns recovered in Chicago....

Good thugs ? Is there such a thing ? Whether they are dirtbag 1% losers on Harley's or Tupac "thug life" hood rats aren't they really cut from the same cloth ? They are the garbage that make up the lowest forms of our society.
