What is your history teacher teaching you because their was nothing to be won in either war unless you believed the propaganda the government was feeding people.

What does victory look like in Iraq, did we win the war in 2008, 2010.

Our joint chiefs told us the Iraqi's were ready to defend themselves in 2012 after a decade of training, they couldn't have been more wrong, again. Now we hear they will be ready in 2020.
They have no interest in defending their country, why should we.

Do you really think there was anything left in Vietnam to Win? Let's forget about Iraq for a minute,
because if you are still stuck on our withdrawal from Vietnam, you either do not understand
history or war, or both. I suggest you start learning by reading the Pentagon Papers.
The profound misjudgment of going into Vietnam can not be understated!

The only reason he didn't oversee all of it is because he quit. But the point is Nixon ended it. He didn't need Congress or anyone else to do it.

As usual you want to distort what is posted because YOU don't like the truth.

Hint, NO ONE said it is the dems "fault".

Congress, with the dem controlled Senate, we KNOW haw a Senate Majority Leader CAN STOP legislation, aka, harry reid, not only voted for the bill giving W the authority but, he CO-SPONSORED the bill

So, let me ask you, what would have happened with the bill IF the SML had NOT pushed the bill through?

Hint , it would have DIED, just as the over 240 bills passed by the House died under reid.

WITH the SML's help the bill passed and W. Bush signed it into law.

W. Bush made the final call WITH to FULL support of Congress WITH the dems help and support.

The majority of the American people SUPPORTED the bill.

Now, you can whine and cry all you want but the dems AND the repubs authorized W Bush
" To take whatever actions the President saw fit."
