Republicans opposed both Iraq wars from the start, fought it tooth and nail. They were the ones marching on the street protesting it, dont you remeber.

And Congress hasn't declared war since 1941. Your point would be?
Personally, I'd like to see a Constitutional Amendment barring the deployment of combat troops for more than 6 months without a Declaration of War by Congress.
A good question, not many would answer. They may say they would, but run when the time comes.
