The naysayers and stone-throwers will continue their hate-filled mindsets of the entire Duggar clan. This latest revelation that occurred twelve years ago just adds fuel to their hate.

I would never condone anyone who sexually abused another individual; however if such an individual were remorseful and made amends, that would be very positive. However, again, those who are filled with passion to judge others no matter how much they improve are very cold hearted and hopefully they never make one mistake in their lives and expect forgiveness.

IF I have to read one more time how sexual assault is a "mistake" I'm going to scream. A mistake is accidentally throwing a red tee shirt into the washer with whites. Sexually assaulting one's little sisters and others is not a mistake. Parents covering it up, is not a mistake. Parents choosing to not get counseling but rather having someone (whom had since been convicted of having child porn) "talk" to the kid is not a mistake. When I read of people excusing this, whom are they thinking of? Josh just didn't know any better. Josh. There were victims, IN THE SAME FAMILY.

I've read the report. What's in the report is what was told by Josh and Jim Bob. If anything else happened in addition to the fondling and touching, Jim Bob may not know about it because Josh may not have told him everything that happened. And if he didn't tell his dad, he may not have told anyone else, either. And his poor sisters are so brainwashed if he told them to be quiet and only talk about the fondling, they would.

This. Honestly. I don't hate The Duggars, but my God it's not a "mistake" to sexually abuse, assault, or molest another human being.

Huckabee on Michael Brown's death:

It's a tragedy that the young man got shot, but this is a young man that just roughed up a store owner, just robbed a store, and now he's going after a cop's gun...It's a horrible thing that he was killed, but he could have avoided that if he'd have behaved like something other than a thug.

Then Huckabee on Duggar:
No one needs to defend Josh’s actions as a teenager, but the fact that he confessed his sins to those he harmed, sought help, and has gone forward to live a responsible and circumspect life as an adult is testament to his family’s authenticity and humility...Good people make mistakes and do regrettable and even disgusting things.

Huckabee has a massive audience. He is running for President and has tons of people supporting him financially. And he is proud of all the selfies he has taken with Duggar. Shame on him.

Comments have been made that the Duggars have been covering this up. I don't agree that it was covered up by the Duggars. They went to authorities and people they thought would help. A lawyer would have advised them not to present Josh to whoever was trying to do the later investigation. There is no way as good parents that they would be advertising the fact that Josh had molested his sisters. In all honesty, regardless of what happened, that police report should never have been made public because of the ages and identification of the victims.

Comments have been made that the Duggers shouldn't have done the show because of Josh. If you never move forward you stay in the same place. The family had to put this issue in the past. As far as we know Josh did not continue his behavior past a certain point. It was time for the family to move on to bigger things. This opportunity presented itself and the Duggars took it.

How this squeaky-clean photo launched the Duggars to fame in 2002 and belied their sordid molestation secret at home… as TLC helped them build a down-home empire for nine years AFTER Oprah reported the abuse

Wonder if he had been touched inappropriately as a child?

There is little mistakes of no consequence that are quickly forgotten. There are big mistakes that mess up someone's life. Then there are humungous mistakes that change the course of history. This arguing about the meaning of the word "mistake" is nothing but an exercise in semantics.
