Heads LGBTs Win, Tails Christians Lose | The American Conservative

Quote:
So, a Canadian Christian jeweler custom-made a pair of engagement rings for a lesbian couple, Nicole White and Pam Renouf, at their request. Later, when they found out that the jeweler personally opposes same-sex marriage, they went to pieces and demanded their money back

Wow. Even when you DO GIVE IN, you can't win.

It's clear now, you can't even have an opposing view, while at the same time being "tolerant" and accommodating to them. You'll still receive threats and be bullied. It's a no win situation. The gay brigade and agenda over the last several years has no lead us to this. You dare say anything opposing to gay marriage, gays, etc and you will get destroyed.

Disgusting.

The jeweler should be happy. Now he doesn't have to "approve of" or "participate" in their "unholy" union.

And they didn't just happen to find out anything. The jeweler posted it in his window.

So what? So before, you can believe what you want but have to sell to anyone despite your beliefs, has changed to dont dare have any other beliefs and let me know about it or else?

Make up your minds. Are people allowed to hold beliefs that you do not like? You know who is intolerant? Many that push the gay agenda. This man sold to them DESPITE his beliefs. He DID NOT discriminate against them in ANY way.

And why is it everytime someone dares to have an opposing view to yours, those people are threatened to death? Tolerance.....one way street to say the least.

Jesus Christ never mentioned anything about gays/lesbians and was not against any type of people; indeed, he said to love everyone, including the enemies and those who persecute you. Any Christian against homosexuals are NOT true Christians!

Islam and Judaism are against gays, not Christianity.

As a strong Christian, Thank God the so-called "Christian" jeweler lost

The homosexual nazi brigade will never quit their bizarre agenda. It's really all they have in their lives to think they matter.

His merchandise isn't good enough unless he gets a clean bill from the 'thoughtpolice'.

So, we're all gonna ignore the fact that he put that sign up AFTER he sold it to them? A couple of lesbians came into his store and that just inspired him to make that sign. That's what 8 year olds do. Or idiots. Since this man is a licensed jeweler, it's fair to say he's the latter.

First off, you arent at all bright. Thats as kindly as I can put it.

Second, no one said a thing about not loving everyone etc etc etc. He didnt say he hated anyone. He didnt turn them away. HE SERVED THEM! And they STILL WEREN'T happy because OH NO! He doesnt support GAY MARRIAGE!?!?!?

So in your mind, who claims to be Christian, you are glad he was threatened. You were glad he was bullied. How very Christian of you.....

He can put up a sign. Not against the law. The fact is, he sold to them knowing they were gay. Who gives a damn what sign he put up and when.

If someone sells you something, and then they put up a sign that says "Im against anyone named Dusty getting married", that entitles you to a refund? That makes it okay for him to receive threats and get bullied?

You're right. I was being snarky and I apologize.

If I were the couple and the actual work was what was ordered, I would have no issue with the jeweler. But as a business owner he should be aware that when one puts their opinions on hot topic issues on their door, there may be some that won't agree. He had his say and other will do the same. I do commend him for not discriminating, and following the law.
