Go do some reading before you make unproven false claims. And Iraq had no connection to 911 at all. The culprits came from Saudi Arabia.
You forgot to mention that the majority of funding for Mr Bin Laden and his Al-Queda followers came from Saudi Arabia and his extended Bin Laden Family which gets hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars in construction and facilities management contracts from the US Government and American Companies like Exxon-Mobil, Chevron, or Halliburton.

If we had not been actively pursuing terrorists to prevent attacks in the USA, how many attacks would there have been already inside the US? Do you know?

It's fine and dandy to claim we will not be fighting them over here, when we have been aggressively stopping them over here.

To wake up people like you, we'd have to stop all attempts to prevent attacks inside the US. If the times Square bomber and underwear bombers, and others who planned attacks, had all been successful, we'd have a few more thousand dead Americans.

I wonder, would that have woken you up?

No, what made no sense was your response asking why the policy to oust Saddam, established by Clinton, wasnt changed by Bush, meaning Saddam should have stayed.

What on gods earth of 9/11 would have encouraged such a change to keep Saddam?

You might be able to successful argue that invading Iraq at the time wasnt the right move, but you cant on gods earth come up with a valid reason Saddam should have stayed in power given he was gassing his own people and tolerated terrorist camps outside of Baghdad.

Don't you sleep easier at night knowing that the Saudis have one of the biggest embassies in Washington DC and the only one within walking distance of The US State Department, K Street (Lobbyist Row ) and the Kennedy Center for it is the only one located in Foggy Bottom and only the second one located downtown (fyi the other is Canada on Penna. Ave. near Capital Hill).

The United States has not accepted yet that ISIL is apart of the Islamic Revolutionary Van Guard and not part of the "War on Global Terrorism". Their goal is to not terrorize people, but to change the global status quo of religion around the world. The goals of ISIL and its comrades differ from the national sponsored Islamic or secular state. I believe the scope of U.S policy is in a rough situation and we certainly do not have the answers on this forum. But, we must understand their is a difference between ISIL and say Hamas or other nation sponsored groups.

Now that's creative.

Yes everyone wanted Hussein removed but Clinton did not send an invading force to destroy the government, instead he used embargos.

George H did it correctly, he had a mission and departed after completion, in Iraq we had a mission that changed every few months.

You might be able to argue that it wasn't the right move to invade Iraq, seriously.

The strategy to contain ISIS seems to be working somewhat but until the Iraqi's take action nothing we do will succeed.

Why isn't the American people getting updates from our Generals we don't hear much of anything other then a few CNN reports which is injected with opinion.

I don't know if anyone has said this... Maybe it's not a failed strategy for him and Jarrett.
