Illinois definitely is up there, maybe only New Jersey is a little worse. There's still a few Illinois and New Jersey pols that are waiting to be taken down. Before they leave office, hopefully. I don't think the FBI or AG would be in a rush to make those kinds of waves, though.

Ohhh But they did..This abuse dates back way before he even entered politics..which means like 30+ years ago..during his time as a teacher and Coach..Back in his hometown..BEFORE Political Career....He was first elected to the House back in 1986 election...and stayed there until became Speaker of the house after Gingrich resigned and (EDIT) Livingston had to resign ( both due to scandals) then Dennis Hastert got brought in to smooth over things...Little did they know that he too had skeleton's in his closet as well !!

This link speaks to such crimes in Illinois ( State crime alleged to have occurred)

Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault: English: Legal Issues: Statutes of Limitations

Since when does Sexual molestation crimes NOT expire?? Sandusky Case was far closer in timeframe..within those Statutes for many of them..NOT all by any means..But enough to catch him a boatload of prison time!!

ETA~~ IF Dennis did this back in his younger self...I rather doubt it was a ONE OFF!! More Skeleton's just may fall out that closet kept locked for 30+ years..

Bush and Rove were never charged with anything. You do realize that Delay beat his rap?
Tom DeLay

We've seen a lot of corruption on both sides of the aisle over the past couple decades. Randy Cunningham, William Jefferson, Blago, Hasert, and so forth. And we've seen sex abuse cases on both sides--Clinton, Foley, Weiner, Sanford.,etc. You're the second poster trollish enough to make this an anti-Republican narrative. Bully for you!

First Josh Duggar, now Denny Hastert. Been a rough couple weeks for the "moral majority"….

Weiner sent inappropriate pictures, Clinton and Sanford had affairs with consenting adults, none broke any laws, and none were sexual abuse.

Clinton first met Monica when she was 19 and he was in his 50's. According to the HR honcho where I work, he would have been terminated for his behavior. Weiner sexted to teenage girls. There was no evidence AFAIK that he had any untoward contact (unlike Bill Clinton), but nonetheless he was given the boot. Pres Obama in particular was adamant that he had to go. Are you and Obama not on the same page here?

You weren't speaking about Hastert when I replied to you were you? Maybe it is you that needs to keep track of their arguments.

Go back and re-read and then apology accepted.

Here, I'll help since I doubt you would bother.

you can lie to government but not to FBI. People lie to government everyday.
