That sounds better than being born into wealth and being conservative.

"Bootstraps...."

That is a "no true Scotsman" fallacy and typical of the communist apologists.

You quoted Marx and have no idea what he meant even after it was explained to you

I know what Marx meant, but I disagree that the current communist countries aren't really communist.

I am well versed n Economics and have the grades to prove it. Unlike Obama, my transcript is open to anyone who is seriously interested.

Then you really have no excuse to be so confused.

Communist societies are stateless and classless.
None of the nations you've brought up are classless or stateless.
Therefore, they are not Communist.

It's that simple.

Just because you refuse to understand what Communism is, it doesn't change the meaning of the term.

Exactly. The nations of Cuba, Vietnam and China had different historical developments when deciding to go communist. Their nations were bombarded from the onset with civil war, economic blockade, lack of international political support, terrorism, and sabotage. Any nation would be a basket case after all that. Each nation also has an individual development, some good and some terrible. A lot of those nations became corrupt and utterly paranoid. Some like the Khmer Rouge were outright evil but they were stopped by the Vietnamese.

The history of communism isn't some monolithic good vs evil comic book fantasy. Just like the history of capitalism is varied with the sucess of the USA or the terror of the early French revolution which ended up in dictatorship with Bonaparte. Did the french give up on liberal democracy or republicanism? No.

I think its disrngenous that cons treat every socialist country as though it were Nazi Germany.

But it's useless to try and bring nuance to conservatives. They only accept the comic book version of history and can't grasp the fact that most of the world is capitalist and most of the world is poor.
